Hardscaping for Hospitality

Scottsdale Civic Park was reimagined as a space that blends design, function, and community. In collaboration with Wilmeng Construction, we installed over 6,500 square feet of Ackerstone Umbriano pavers, arranged in flowing, circular patterns that guide movement and encourage gathering. Two complementary colors add visual rhythm, while Aqua Via permeable pavers around the edges support drainage and sustainability. Recognized by the HNA Awards and Southwest Hardscape Association, the project stands as a national example of how thoughtful hardscaping transforms public space into something memorable, walkable, and built to bring people together.

At The Global Ambassador, every material decision contributed to the hotel’s European-inspired luxury. In collaboration with Okland Construction, we installed upside-down Ackerstone pavers for a soft, aged look, and used natural stone to create seamless transitions across outdoor spaces. The pool deck featured limestone in a herringbone pattern, while Belgard concrete pavers at the main entry balanced style with durability. From subtle texture choices to structural considerations, each surface reinforces the hotel’s identity, timeless, elegant, and crafted to welcome guests from the ground up.

To meet Tempe’s design codes and complement The Westin’s modern architecture, we installed a combination of Summit Brick clay pavers and Ackerstone concrete pavers. The difference in thickness between the two materials required precise leveling and close coordination. Each paver was laid with care to ensure a clean, cohesive surface across the hotel’s entryway. The final result meets city regulations while delivering a polished, contemporary look. This project earned the 2021 Chapter’s Choice Award from the Southwest Hardscape Association for its seamless integration of technical craftsmanship and design.
