Hardscaping for Retail

Teaming up with The Chasse Building Team, we modernized one of the Valley’s most popular outdoor retail destinations. The renovation aimed to update aesthetics while reducing the heat island effect. Shade sails, artificial turf, and Mirage 12″x48″ porcelain pavers were introduced throughout. Approximately 16,000 square feet of pavers were installed, with pedestrian areas laid conventionally and a designated fire lane requiring pavers cut in half, mortar-set on a concrete sub-slab with relief cuts every eight feet. Fully grouted joints replaced polymeric sand for added stability. The result is a cooler, more inviting space that blends style and comfort.

Built by Concrete Finishing, 777 Novus is a new innovation incubator in ASU’s Novus Innovation Corridor. We installed Belgard 6″x12″ pavers in three colors and finishes, laid in both clean bands and random patterns per the architect’s design. The bands guide pedestrians to the front door and a central courtyard fountain, while the cool grey tones complement the building’s gleaming exterior. The result is a welcoming, functional space that reflects the building’s forward-thinking purpose. 

In downtown Athens, a quiet transformation began as city planners replaced worn sidewalks with red and black Pinehall brick pavers, chosen for both durability and character. Local artists and historians etched small designs—like guitar silhouettes and historic dates—into select bricks, turning the sidewalks into a living timeline. As shop owners shared the stories behind the pavers, they became more than just a path, they became a reflection of the city’s music, history, and charm.
