Cavasson Hilton Hotel and Conference Center
We installed 11,000 square feet of 24″x24″ Cera porcelain pavers for the Cavasson Hilton Hotel and Conference Center. The pavers appear in intimate sitting areas, large gathering spaces, and, most prominently, at the grand lobby entrance—creating a dramatic first impression for guests. The same paver material connects the hotel to the convention center, unifying the two facilities with a continuous design language. Clean lines, refined color, and modern elegance welcome visitors while guiding them seamlessly between destinations.

SCOTTSDALE CIVIC PARK

SCOTTSDALE CIVIC PARK
In partnership with Wilmeng Construction, we reimagined the heart of Scottsdale Civic Park into a nationally recognized gathering space. At its center lies 6,500 square feet of intertwined circles crafted from Ackerstone Umbriano Holland 2 pavers. Designed to draw people together and guide them through the park, the circular patterns use two colors for visual interest. Along the perimeter, Ackerstone Aqua Via permeable pavers provide sustainable drainage. This project earned the top honor as the #1 paver project in the U.S. at the 2024 HNA Awards and was named Project of the Year by the Southwest Hardscape Association.

THE GLOBAL AMBASSADOR

THE GLOBAL AMBASSADOR
In collaboration with Okland Construction, we helped bring European-inspired charm to this ultra-luxury hotel’s outdoor spaces. The main entryway features Ackers Stone Holland 2 pavers installed upside down to create an aged, time-worn patina. Between the entry and the hotel, 12×24 natural stone in two complementary tones adds depth and elegance. Around the pool, 4×16 natural limestone from Telluride Natural Stone & Wood was laid in a refined herringbone pattern, adding warmth and texture. For the front entry walkways, Belgard concrete pavers were selected for their durability under vehicular traffic while maintaining a refined look. The result is a seamless blend of old-world beauty and modern resilience.

Stone Mountain Triangle Park

Stone Mountain Triangle Park
The mechanically installed permeable pavers at Stone Mountain’s Triangle Park parking lot in Georgia span an impressive 180,000 square feet, showcasing both innovation and sustainability in large-scale paving projects. Installed by our team specializing in permeable surfaces, the project utilized an Optimas H88 paver laying machine to ensure precision and efficiency throughout the entire process. The permeable pavers chosen for this site were designed to manage stormwater effectively, allowing rainwater to seep through the joints to the underlying layers, eliminating runoff and promoting natural groundwater recharge. These pavers not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the parking lot but also address critical environmental concerns by mitigating flood risks during extreme weather events. One of the standout features of this installation was its capability to handle a 100-year rain event that occurred only days after its completion. The partnership with the Pond Company was crucial in developing a sustainable water management system by integrating natural retention and filtration solutions with the permeable pavement. This combination of eco-friendly design and cutting-edge mechanical installation techniques positions the Stone Mountain Triangle Park parking lot as a model of green infrastructure. The use of Optimas H88 machinery ensured consistent quality and rapid progress, reflecting EPSE’s commitment to excellence and environmental stewardship.

Capital City Club Aquatics Center

Capital City Club Aquatics Center
The Capitol City Club’s new aquatics center in Georgia showcases a stunning installation of concrete pavers expertly laid by EPSE. The project features an elegant blend of porcelain and traditional concrete pavers, carefully selected to complement the upscale design of the facility. These pavers not only enhance the aesthetic appeal with their clean lines and varied textures but also provide durable, slip-resistant surfaces ideal for the high-traffic areas surrounding the Olympic-size pool, kiddie pool, and the indoor lap lanes. Meeting the tight timeline for the spring pool opening was challenging, especially given the complexities of working around weather conditions and the precise requirements of all areas. Working with Batson-Cook’s team, EPSE managed these hurdles with exceptional coordination and expertise, delivering a flawless finish that met both functional and aesthetic standards. The use of polymeric Gator Sand allowed for 3/8″ spacing, meeting City of Atlanta requirements and minimized settling, ensuring the pavers remained stable and safe as the facility opened its doors to members.

Winn Army Hospital

Winn Army Hospital
At Winn Army Hospital in Georgia, the newly renovated parking lot became more than just a place to park — it became a symbol of the facility’s commitment to sustainability. Instead of traditional asphalt, the hospital opted for permeable pavers, a modern paving solution designed to manage stormwater naturally. These pavers allow rainwater to seep through the surface into the ground below, reducing runoff, filtering pollutants, and helping replenish local groundwater. By integrating this green technology, Winn Army Hospital not only improved the durability and appearance of its parking lot but also supported the health of the surrounding ecosystem. The decision aligned perfectly with the Army’s ongoing environmental stewardship initiatives, proving that even something as ordinary as a parking lot can play a part in protecting the planet for future generations.

Athens, GA

Athens, GA
“Stones of the Classic City” – In the heart of downtown Athens, where music drifts from open bar doors and café tables spill onto the streets, a quiet transformation began. City planners decided to replace the worn, cracked sidewalks with Pinehall brick pavers, chosen not only for durability but for character. The new red and black Pinehall brick formed intricate patterns that subtly echoed the rhythm of the town’s famous music scene. Local artists and historians were invited to etch small details into select pavers — tiny guitar silhouettes, oak leaves, and dates marking key moments in Athens’ history. As the project unfolded, shop owners began telling customers the “stories under their feet,” and visitors started taking photos of the designs. Soon, the pavers became more than a walkway – they became a living timeline, guiding pedestrians through the charm, history, and creativity of the Classic City.
